Premier Trophy
The Premier Trophy is the national first-class cricket competition for Sri Lanka . It has been held since 1938 and has had first-class status since the 1988/89 season.
Teams
Unlike in other test nations , where regions or franchises predominate, the first-class competition in Sri Lanka is held between clubs. 14 teams are currently taking part in the competition.
