Present Continuous (sculpture)
Present Continuous (German: a stooping man who looks down ) is a monumental sculpture by the Dutch sculptor Henk Visch that in May 2011 between the entrance of the new building of the University of Television and Film and the input of the State Museum of Egyptian Art in Munich on a green strip along Gabelsbergerstraße was set up.
This sculpture is part of the Pinakothek sculpture park , which characterizes the Munich art area in the Maxvorstadt district . It is an aluminum figure without arms, which is bent forward. The figure is 3.60 m high. The face is on the floor. From the forehead, like a headrest, a steel, red line of sight runs through the floor into a hall of the Egyptian Museum below - “as a connection between the past and the researching present”.
