Preston Jones

Preston Jones (born December 19, 1966 ) is an American historian and professor at John Browns University in Arkansas .

Jones served in the US Navy from 1986 to 1990 . From his own experience of the conditions in Southeast Asia, his research interest in the brothel industry developed there and he became a member of the board of ECPAT- USA, an international organization that campaigns against child prostitution . Preston Jones received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Ottawa (Canada) in 1999. He received a. a. a Fulbright scholarship to study in Canada. From 2003 to 2010 he was head of the historical institute at JBU.

Jones also taught in Spanish and gave introductions to Latin . According to JBU, he ran in 15 marathons.

Preston Jones became known to the general public when he published his e-mail contact with Greg Graffin , the singer of Bad Religion , as a book. In May 2006 the book Is Belief in God Good, Bad or Irrelevant ?: A Professor And a Punk Rocker Discuss Science, Religion, Naturalism & Christianity was published .

Publications

Jones published two textbooks and three popular science books. He wrote over 200 articles in trade journals, daily newspapers, magazines and websites.
