Younger story

Due to a legal dispute with Volkswagen AG , the two subsidiaries Car Trim and ES Automobilguss stopped delivering seat covers and gearbox parts to VW in August 2016, causing the car manufacturer to shut down production of some model series. After long negotiations and political intervention, the dispute was settled and a long-term partnership agreed.

At Braunschweig Regional Court a million lawsuit against Prevent is Daimler pending because Daimler had quit in 2013 orders for Prevent.

In January 2018, Prevent took over the Saarland automotive supplier Halberg-Guss , which was then sold again at the end of 2018 after a lengthy labor dispute.
