The Printus GmbH (commercial law: Hans R. Schmid Holding AG ) is a mail order company for office supplies, promotional products and consumer electronics. The company sells over 60,000 items, mainly to small and medium-sized companies.

The Printus Group is headquartered in Offenburg in Baden and has a turnover of over 700 million euros with 1,300 employees .

history

Printus was founded in Hamburg in 1977 as a sales company for copy foils . In 1982 the current owner and board member, Hans Robert Schmid, took over the company and relocated the headquarters to Offenburg.

In 2005, with an investment of 65 million euros, a logistics center was built at the headquarters in Offenburg, which went into operation in 2005.

Hans Robert Schmid received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2014 for his achievements as a sponsor of culture, science and sport.

In July 2015, Printus took over all shares in Otto Office, which is part of the Otto Group .
