history

In 1994, the office supplies business area was founded within the Otto Group, specializing in business customers. From this in 1997 the company Otto Büro + Technik developed. This started with its own logistics and customer service on the German market.

In 1999 the company decided to set up a joint venture with JM Bruneau , the leading mail order company in France for office supplies. The market entry in France took place in 2000, and this year also marked the start of the online shop. In 2001 Otto Büro + Technik was renamed Otto Office.

In the following years, the company entered the Czech Republic (2004), Slovakia (2005) and Belgium (2007). In 2012 Otto Office withdrew from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In July 2015 Otto Office was taken over by the then competitor Printus .
