Prisma (proper spelling prisma , with full name: prisma - the HSG student magazine ) is the magazine for the students of the University of Economics, Law and Social Sciences as well as International Relations in St. Gallen (HSG). The magazine, which was founded in 1959, is currently published twice a semester or four times a year. By the end of the summer semester 2019, 380 issues had been published. In addition, prisma operates a website.

The magazine consists of five sections: Campus, Topic, People, Compact and SHSG. The content is published by an editorial team of around 30 volunteer students. The magazine is financed by income from advertisements.

Prisma is one of five initiatives of the student body at the University of St. Gallen (SHSG). The initiative is led by a five-person executive board, supported by department heads. In principle, any student at the University of St. Gallen can become a member of the editorial team.

Well-known former members of the editorial team include former Federal Councilor Hans-Rudolf Merz , the former managing director of UBS , Peter Wuffli , the journalist Roger Schawinski and the former editor-in-chief of the Tages-Anzeiger, Res Strehle .
