Privacy is a board game by Reinhard Staupe , which was published by Amigo- Verlag in 2004. It is suitable for 5 to 12 players, ages 16+, and takes about 50 minutes. A revised version called Privacy 2 with partly new questions has been on the market since 2008. Questions submitted by players were also included.

Furnishing

  • 120 wooden blocks
  • 90 question cards
  • 12 shims
  • 12 screens
  • 12 pawns
  • 1 cloth bag
  • 1 game board
  • 1 set of instructions

The aim and course of the game

The aim of the game is to reach the target field with your own pawn through correct assessment of the other players . In each round, a (partly suggestive) statement is read out from a card contained in the game (e.g. "I have had sex with three people."). Then a small cloth bag is passed around and each player puts either an orange block (if he agrees with the statement) or a black block (if he does not agree with the statement) in it.

Then each player uses a dial to set how many orange blocks he suspects in the cloth bag, i.e. H. how many of his teammates agree with this statement. When all players have made their guess, the bag is emptied and the votes are counted. Each player who has correctly guessed the number may move his pawn 3 spaces forward. All players who have miscalculated by one and who did not “suspect” any or all players may move forward one space.

If a player arrives on the target field, he is considered the winner and the game is over.

Target group and assessment

The game is suitable as a party game and is aimed primarily at young adults. Partly spicy questions about z. B. Sexual practices are unsuitable for younger players.
