Profanation is a German death metal band from Görlitz .
history
Profanation was founded in 1997. From the original line-up, pseudonyms were common with the band . The original line-up consisted of Anja (drums) and "Meatgrinder" (guitar / vocals). In 1998 bassist "Skullcrusher" joined the band. The first concert took place on September 12, 1998. In February 2000 Anja got out and "Skullcrusher" switched to drums. Finally, Anton “Baken Bones” Röthig joined the band as bass player. In August 2000, “Dr. Rot “added a second singer to the band.
In 2001 the debut album "Dead Man Rotting" was released as an in-house production. Then there were various internal problems, so that the second album took four years and three studio appointments. Ultimately, the album "Dead Body Fuck" was released in April 2005 via Morbid Records . With Christoph, a second guitarist was added, with whom the album Lustful Screams of Torture was recorded. In 2006 Profanation was on a successful Australian tour for three weeks. In 2010 "Doktor Rot" left the band for health reasons, Alex took over the vocals for the time being. With Jeff Jester a new singer was added and in 2011 the album "Contorted Bodies in Pain" was released via Mad Lion Records.
In 2015 Christoph left the band again to concentrate on a solo project. Max took over the 2nd guitar in 2015, but soon passed it on to Vincent (2016). After the new line-up could already try out live together, the next album was worked on. In April 2018 the new material was recorded in the Soundlodge Studio by Jörg Uken and will be released by Hostile Media in March 2019.

Profanation play a mixture of Brutal Death Metal and Grindcore with typical splatter lyrics .
