The Profax Foundation (spelling: profax Foundation) is a foundation under Swiss law and was established shortly before her death by Gertrud Zimmermann , inventor of the Profax device and founder of Profax Verlag AG, who died in 2003 .
The Profax Foundation is currently chaired by Ruth Gonseth , a former member of the Swiss National Council .
Foundation purpose
The purpose of the foundation is to recognize outstanding achievements by individuals or institutions in the field of teaching and education by awarding a prize. The foundation does not pursue profit-making or self-help purposes.
Profax price
The Profax Prize is given to people and institutions who have achieved outstanding work through their work. The Profax Prize of CHF 10,000–20,000 is usually awarded every 1–2 years.
