Progressive Alliance (Ghana)

Progressive Alliance was the name of a political association founded in Ghana for the 1992 elections .

She was considered a political opponent of the Great Alliance .

The military dictator Jerry Rawlings , who has ruled Ghana since 1981 , established the Progressive Alliance in the first democratic elections in the fourth Republic of Ghana. In the 1992 elections, the Progressive Alliance parties clearly prevailed, and some opposition parties boycotted the elections. Rawlings became the first President of the fourth Ghanaian Republic with the Progressive Alliance.

The Progressive Alliance consisted of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Party Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere (Egle) and the Democratic People's Party (DPP).
