Prospero Cavalieri

Prospero Cavalieri CRL (born July 27, 1768 in Comacchio ; † 1833 ) was an Italian clergyman, theological writer, librarian and abbot .

Life

At the age of sixteen he became a member of the Canons Regular of the Augustinian Canons of the Lateran. In 1799 he became vice librarian and on February 22, 1817, he succeeded the late Girolamo Baruffaldi (1740-1817) as prefect of the Biblioteca comunale Ariostea in Ferrara. In 1818 he met the Index Congregation as a relator .
