Psammetich IV.

Psammetich IV was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh (king) who ruled Egypt during the 27th Dynasty ( Late Period ) in the last years of Darius I's reign.

Herodotus reports that Egypt was founded around 486 BC. In the last years of Darius I's reign, he became apostate. Only Xerxes I managed to regain control of Egypt. In fact, some demotic documents from Diospolis Parva are dated after a certain Psammetich, who apparently followed Darius I.
