Psycho Village is an Austrian rock band.
history
Beginnings and it's okay
Psycho Village was founded in 2009 by the then 15-year-old Daniel Kremsner, singer and guitarist of the band. After around 60 concerts, the collaboration with producer Gwenael Damman (including Christina Stürmer , Nina Hagen ) began in 2012 . At the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013, the three-piece band toured Austria ("XXX" tour) and began producing the first single It's Okay .
On March 15, 2013, It's Okay was released in Austria, entered the iTunes / Download Charts on the first day and reached number 8. The single was released by Richard Furch ( Christina Aguilera , Usher , Prince etc.) in Los Angeles mixed. The audio mastering was done by Will Quinnell (Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, Jonas Brothers etc.) in New York. On April 5th, the song entered the official Austrian charts - Ö3 Austria Top 40 - at number 62 and reached number 32.
Self-made fairytale
The album Selfmade Fairytale - Part 1 was released on May 30, 2014 and received positive reviews.
The single Perfect debuted at number 1 on the Austrian rock charts and at number 3 on the iTunes and download charts in Austria. Perfect reached number 30 in the “Austria Top 40” and number 220 in the European “Euro 200” charts.
On the Selfmade Fairytale Tour 2014, Psycho Village played sold out concerts in Austria and performed at the Sziget Festival in Hungary and the Danube Island Festival in Vienna.
In October, Through My Eyes was released as the next single and stayed at number 1 on the iTunes and download charts in Austria for two weeks. Through My Eyes also entered the European Euro200 charts and lasted five weeks. A month later, Psycho Village started a joint tour of Austria with Excuse Me Moses.
In early 2015 Psycho Village played 9 concerts as part of the Spring Break Festival Tour which was supported by Welle 1 Music Radio. In addition to other concerts in Austria, Psycho Village played its first Germany tour at the beginning of 2016 with concerts in Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Frankfurt.
In August the single Time Of Our Lives feat. GuGabriel published and reached number 1 on the Austrian iTunes charts. Between October 2016 and March 2017 Psycho Village played another tour with 16 concerts in Germany and 6 concerts in Austria.
In May and June Psycho Village played as the opening act for The Creepshow from Canada on their EU tour and in June and August as the opening act for Fates Warning from the USA on their Theories of Flight Tour.
In addition to a three-week tour in Germany, the band played 18 concerts in October and November 2017 as support act on the entire Europe and UK tour of the three-time Grammy nominated US band Nothing More.
social commitment
On March 16, 2013, the band announced during a concert that they would donate all proceeds from the concerts played in March to support the aid organization “Save the Child”. Subsequently, the entire proceeds of the sold-out concert in the Viper Room, Vienna on June 28, 2013 were donated to aid organizations to support those affected by the 2013 flood in Austria.
In September 2013 the band played at a charity event to support the “Waluka Project”, which raised money for a school in Kenya, Africa. A considerable amount could be donated. The following day, Psycho Village played in Haus 9 in Hennersdorf, Lower Austria to support the “ Rote Nasen ” aid organization . Here, too, all proceeds were donated.
