Pu Shu ( Chinese  樸樹  /  朴树 , Pinyin Pǔ Shù ) (born November 8, 1973 in Nanjing ) is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actor . Pu Shu grew up in Beijing . In 1994 he gave up his studies at Capital Normal University and began composing songs. In 1996 he received a contract as a singer with Taihe Rye Music ( Chinese  麦田 音乐 , Pinyin Màitián Yīnyuè ). His most famous songs are Those Flowers ( Chinese  那些 花儿 , Pinyin Nàxiē huār ) and Birch Forest ( Chinese  白桦林 , Pinyin Báihuà lín ). He also appeared in films such as "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" ( Chinese  那时 花开 , Pinyin Nà shí huā kāi ), where he played the role of Zhang Yang ( Chinese  张扬 ), and "If I Lose You" ( Chinese  如果 没有 爱 之下 部 普通话 , Pinyin Rúguǒ méiyǒu ài zhī xiàbù pǔtōnghuà ), where he played Pu ( Chinese   , Pinyin ) with. After a break of 11 years, he released his new song "The Ordinary Road" ( Chinese  平凡 之 路 , Pinyin píngfán zhī lù ) as the theme song for the Chinese film The Continent ( Chinese  后 会 无 期 , Pinyin hòu huì wúqí ).
