from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

public.resource.org is a nonprofit that publishes 1.8 million pages of federal case law collections on its website with no copyright (public domain) or restrictions. This includes all cases in the United States Supreme Court since 1754 and all state judicial districts since 1950.

With the Open Access offer, which started on February 18, 2008, the organization triggered a revolution in access to legal information that was previously subject to a charge. Public.Resource.Org is the largest free legal library.

The organization also publishes 10,000 images on the Flickr website , including over 6,000 images from the Smithsonian Institution under the public domain or under a Creative Commons license.
