Ren Long ( Chinese  任 龙 , Pinyin Rén Lóng ; born December 21, 1988 ) is a Chinese cross-country skier and biathlete .

Ren began his career as a cross-country skier. He competed in his first international races in 2004 and 2005 in China as part of the Far East Cup . In 2006 he started in Pragelato Plan at the Olympic Games in Turin . In the pursuit race he finished 62nd in the 50 kilometer race 63rd. Long contested his only cross-country skiing world cup race in March 2006 in Changchun . In the sprint he finished 41st and did not qualify for the final races. Then he switched from cross-country skiers to biathletes.

Ren made his debut in Obertilliach in 2006 as part of the Biathlon European Cup races on an international level in biathlon. As 16th in the sprint, he immediately won his first European Cup points. He then made his debut in Hochfilzen with the relay (rank 12) in the Biathlon World Cup . Since then he has been competing almost exclusively at this highest level internationally. First career highlight was the Biathlon World Championships 2007 from Antholz , where Long was 82nd in singles and 17th in the relay. Also in the 2007/08 season , the Chinese competed in almost all races of the World Cup. The Biathlon World Championships 2008 from Östersund 88 he could rankings 77 in single, sprint and 16 show in the relay. But it wasn't until the final World Cup station of the season at Holmenkollen in Oslo that Ren won World Cup points for the first time in 26th place in the sprint competition. Nevertheless, Ren was no longer included in the national team for the following year and only started again in the World Cup in 2010.
