Pucca

Pucca ( Hangeul : 뿌까 , [ 'pˤukˤa ]) is a South Korean media franchise that was originally based on a Flash animation and eventually turned into a 37-episode animated television series by Jetix Concept Animation . There are also books and a manhwa .

11 year old Pucca is the niece of the owner of the noodle restaurant in Sooga village. During a delivery of noodles, she meets the 12-year-old ninja Garu ( 가루 ), with whom she immerses himself in a magical game. Garu wanted to start this, because at the end of it he can have a wish come true and see his mother again.

The journey of the two begins in China. On their subsequent adventures, they are accompanied by a magic cube that explains the tasks and advises them.

ONA

The original Net Animation was released from January 2000. Of the five-minute films, 19 were produced. Boo-Kyoung Kim directed and was the artistic director. The producer was Kim You-Kyoung.

Manhwa

Manhwa, created and published by Vooz, appeared in three volumes in South Korea.

In 2005 a German version of Egmont Manga and Anime was published. There are also translations into Chinese and Spanish.

The Canadian studio Studio B Productions produced a 37-episode animated series about Pucca on behalf of Jetix . This has been broadcast by Jetix since September 18, 2006.

The German dubbed version was created by Studio Hamburg Synchron GmbH. Sascha Draeger directed the dialogue, and Stefan Eckel wrote the German dialogue books.

In Germany, the series was first broadcast on October 23, 2006 by Jetix. It was later repeated by RTL II and SF2 .

Books

In November 2004 and May 2005, four volumes on Pucca were published by Vooz in South Korea . Two photo books and two more books followed in 2005.

In October 2005 the two volumes Pucca and Garu appeared in German : We belong together and Pucca: That's me by Martin Stabno.
