Phthalimidopropiophenone (more precisely the α-derivative of the two structural isomers ) is a drug from the group of stimulants . It has a stereocenter, so it is chiral and structurally related to methcathinone .

Little is known about its pharmacological properties. Phthalimidopropiophenone is probably a prodrug that does not itself have a stimulatory effect, but its metabolites cathinone and phthalic acid .
