Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is the capital of the Ecuadorian province of Galápagos . The city is located on the southwest coast of the Galápagos Island of San Cristóbal , the easternmost island of the archipelago .

With 4816 inhabitants (as of 2013), the city is the second largest in the province after Puerto Ayora . The city's economic activity is made up of arts and crafts, fishing, agriculture and tourism. The city's airport (SCY) is the only one in the archipelago that has regular flights from the mainland alongside the one on Baltra .

The name of the city comes from the Ecuadorian President Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno (September 1916 to August 1920).
