Punta Leech (in Argentina Punta Peñascos from Spanish peñascos , rock, boulder ' ) is a headland in the northern part of the Fildes Peninsula of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It protrudes 1.55 km east of Suffield Point into Maxwell Bay .
Chilean scientists named it after the American entomologist Robert E. Leech, participant in the 22nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1967–1968).
