Punteado

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Punteado (from Spanish puntear - to pluck ) or finger play is a way of playing plucked instruments in which the strings are plucked with the fingers (in contrast to rasgueado or strumming when playing chords) in order to play a melody or an ornament ( English picking, fingerstyle ).

This playing technique mostly uses the index finger and middle finger, although all combinations with other fingers are possible.

Striking a string can be done in two ways: Apoyando , the string is pushed through or Tirando , the string is pulled up.
