Pusad is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

The city is part of the Yavatmal district . Pusad has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 28 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 73,046 inhabitants, of which 40,816 were men and 39,242 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 56%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 91.33%, well above the national average.
