Putuputua is an island in the south of Ha'apai in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The motu is located on the western edge of the atoll in the area of Lulunga near Kotu and Matuku . The islands Kito , Lutueki , Foua , Teaupa and Tungua are in the vicinity .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Ha'apai group, Putuputua is occasionally hit by cyclones .
