Puzyna is the name of a Polish-Lithuanian noble family of Ruthenian origin .

The Puzyna are said to be descendants of the princes of Smolensk . In the 17th and 18th centuries, the family rose to become an influential and wealthy family of magnates . So the Puzyna acquired the Słuszków Palace. The Puszynas held offices such as that of bishop , starost, or secretary of Lithuania. In 1823 the Puzynas received the title of prince with the approval of the Polish Senate . This was confirmed in the Kingdom of Poland in 1824 . In addition, the Puzynas were authorized on May 17 and June 6, 1910 and on May 3 and September 6, 1915 in Russia to use the title "Prince".
