Pyro (bourgeois Daniel Kern, born 1981 in Basel ) is a Swiss rapper and songwriter .

Career

Pyro released his debut album Hoffnigsfungge in 2008 and the album Schatteboxe in 2012 . In 2013 he took part in 1 City 1 Song . In 2015 he released the EP The World is my Hood, recorded in Cape Town's townships with Crosby Bolani . In 2017 he released his third album "Rohkost". He was also a guest of Collie Herb with a benefit rap for Be Aware And Share . represented. In 2018 the single "Kinder blyybe" followed and in 2019 he followed it up with the single "Tauche". Unusually for rap musicians, he also takes part in punk , jazz and classical projects. Two of his albums were able to place in the Swiss charts . Pyro was also part of the "1 City 1 Song" project, which brought together over 100 rappers from Basel and was realized by Black Tiger. With the Basel singer-songwriter Roli Frei, he has played acoustic concerts in recent years, including in the KKL, Lucerne and the catacombs of the IWB, Basel (filter 4). In 2019/2020 he and the reggae posse "Schwellheim" joined forces to play live concerts.

As a member of the “VinylBros” crew and the “Rappartment” collective, he is also on the road in various formations.
