Qingchuan ( Chinese  青川县 , Pinyin Qīngchuān Xiàn ) is a district in the prefecture -level city of Guangyuan in the Chinese province of Sichuan . It has an area of ​​3,269 km² square kilometers and has 250,000 inhabitants. Qingchuan lies in a seismically very active zone and was badly hit by the 2008 Sichuan earthquake .
