Qingxin ( Chinese  清新 区 , Pinyin Qīngxīn Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Qingyuan in the Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​2,579 km² and has a population of 700,000 (2003). Its main town is the large community of Taihe (太和镇).
