Qingyuan ( Chinese 清远 市 , Pinyin Qīngyuǎn Shì ) is a district-free city in the Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China . Here Yue , d. H. Cantonese, spoken. The city has an area of 19,015 km² and around 3.85 million inhabitants (mid-2016). About 916,000 people live in the actual urban settlement area of Qingyuan (2010 census).
Administrative structure
At the county level, Qingyuan consists of two municipal districts , two independent cities , two counties and two autonomous counties . These are:
- (1) municipality Qingcheng (清城区), 927 square kilometers, 540,000 inhabitants, the center, the seat of the city government;
- (6) Qingxin District (清新 区), 2,579 km², 700,000 inhabitants, capital: Taihe Municipality (太和镇);
- (2) City of Yingde (英德 市), 5,679 km², 1.05 million inhabitants;
- (3) Lianzhou City (连 州市), 2,661 km², 500,000 inhabitants;
- (4) Fogang District (佛冈县), 1,302 km², 310,000 inhabitants, main town: Shijiao municipality (石 角 镇);
- (5) Yangshan County (阳山 县), 3,372 km², 530,000 inhabitants, main town: Yangcheng Township (阳 城镇);
- (7) Lianshan Autonomous County of the Zhuang and Yao (连山 壮族 瑶族 自治县), 1,264 km², 110,000 inhabitants, capital: Jitian Township (吉田 镇);
- (8) Liannan Autonomous County of the Yao (连 南 瑶族 自治县), 1,231 km², 160,000 inhabitants, capital: Sanjiang Municipality (三 江镇).
