Qioptiq , an Excelitas Technologies company, designs and manufactures optical components and systems that are used in a variety of applications and markets such as: B. medical technology, aerospace and research and development are used. Excelitas delivers innovative customer-oriented solutions that meet the requirements of OEM customers in the areas of lighting, detection and other high-performance technologies. Together they have around 7,000 employees in North America, Europe and Asia and serve customers all over the world.
In October 2013, the Qioptiq Group was taken over by the US company Excelitas Technologies Corp. Linos had previously been taken over.
In Germany there are locations in a total of four cities. They are located in Feldkirchen (Munich), Regen, Göttingen and Asslar. There have been two locations in Göttingen since April 2014.
