Qu Zimao (born September 22, 2001 in the People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese badminton player . He starts in Parabadminton in the starting class WH1 in singles, doubles and mixed. Qu aims to participate in the 2020 Summer Paralympics .

Athletic career

Qu Zimao began in 2013 with the Parabadminton . He took part in the 2017 World Badminton Championship for the disabled in Ulsan and was defeated by South Korean Lee Sam-seop in the singles final . In the badminton competition of the Para-Asian Games 2018, Qu Zimao lost in the singles final against Man Choi-jung from South Korea. In doubles he defeated the also South Korean duo Lee Dong-seop and Kim Jung-jun with Mai Jianpeng . Qu and Liu Yutong won the purely Chinese final in the mixed competition by beating Jianpeng Mai and Li Hingyan . At the Badminton World Cup for the disabled in Basel in 2019 , Qu won the singles final against South Korean Lee Dong-seop. In doubles he defeated the duo Lee Dong-seop and Kim Jung-jun with Mai Jianpeng.
