history

In 1936 the Quartier-Blatt published by Alois Gasser, printer in Aussersihl, appeared in District 4 . This was published under the name of Zürcher City from 1967 and subsequently grew into the neighborhood newspaper for districts 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9. In 1993, the neighborhood newspaper was renamed Quartier-Echo .

In summer 2007 the Echo publishing AG took over from Zurich AG Tagblatt der Stadt in North Zurich appearing Quartier newspaper The suburb . However, this had to be discontinued at the end of 2008 due to a lack of advertisements.

As part of a succession plan, the newspaper was taken over by Lokalinfo AG in January 2017 and integrated into the existing Zurich West title as the second section. Since then, Zurich West has also been distributed once a month in the former catchment area of the Quartier-Echo, districts 3, 4, 5 and 9 as a large edition.
