District 205

The quarter 205 is the southern part of Friedrichstadtpassagen at Berlin Friedrichstrasse ; The department store is connected to Quartier 206 by a tunnel . It opened in 1996. The architect was Oswald Mathias Ungers .

The sales area is 14,000 m², the total usable area 51,000 m². In the basement there is a food court and a sculpture by John Chamberlain .

After economic difficulties, the property has been marketed under the name The Q since 2011 .

In 2015, the American developer Tishman Speyer took over Quartier 205 for more than 300 million euros.
