The Quartier 206 Art & Fashion House is a commercial property in Berlin . It has around 8,000 m² of retail space and 16,000 m² of office space.

Location and history

The "Art & Fashion House" Quartier 206 forms the middle of the Friedrichstadt Passagen on Berlin's Friedrichstrasse . The department store is connected by a tunnel to Galeries Lafayette Berlin in the north and Quartier 205 in the south. It opened in 1997. The facade is designed in a style based on Art Deco . The architect was Henry N. Cobb from Pei Cobb Freed & Partners . The client was the Jagdfeld family .

After a few years, the commercial property fell into economic difficulties: 2011, located district court center the forced administration on; In 2012 and again in 2018, the foreclosure auction threatened .
