The Quellbach In der Aar is a small stream in Bochum and Hattingen , which rises in a wooded area south of the adventure playground on the site of the former Dahlhauser Tiefbau colliery on the city limits from Dahlhausen to Hattingen-Baak . It runs piped as soon as it reaches the edge of a residential property, here already in the Hattingen area. It flows orographically on the right side into the Ruhr . The saprobic index allows a reliable classification in quality class I.
