The Quest Nunatak is a 1065 m high nunatak in the East Antarctic Coatsland . It is the northernmost of the Whichaway nunatakers .
The first mapping was made in 1957 by participants in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958). They named it so because on the further overland route across the South Pole to Viktorialand in December 1957 it was the last rock formation that the geologists on the research trip had visited in search of plant fossils .
