Quick Change is an American thrash metal band from Markham , Illinois that formed in 1983, split up in 1991, and reunited in 2000.
history
The band was formed in 1983, at which time the group was still covering well-known heavy metal pieces. The band consisted of singer Dwayne Whitehead, guitarists Dubs Anderson and Mike McCarthy, bassist Mike Saint and drummer John Kruczek. After a first single was recorded, which received little attention, a demo followed in 1985, 1987 and 1988, as well as some appearances with bands like Death or Zoetrope . With the last demo FUN , the band got a contract with Roadrunner Records , about which the debut album Circus of Death was released that same year . After further appearances, the band broke up in 1991.
In 2000 the band found itself back together with three founding members, as well as singer Russ Barron and bassist Chris Harbin. This was followed by two self-published studio albums Money, Lust & Greed (2001) and IV Life (2003), as well as the live album Live at the Metro in 2004 .
style
The band played classic Thrash Metal, with the vocals being particularly high-pitched. The music is reminiscent of the early anthrax in terms of tempo and rhythm , while vocals parallels to Overkill can be heard.
