history

In 1946 Upton Hall was sold by the last private owner to the Sir Thomas White's Trust, and the Upton Hall School opened the following year. Twenty years later the school was renamed Quinton House School. Since 1986 the Northampton Borough Council has owned the buildings, which were rented to the school authorities. After the school came under the direction of Gerald H. Griffiths in 1988, numerous major renovations and expansions were made to the facilities. In 2004 the school was taken over by the Cognita group. In September 2018, Jacobs Holding took over the group from Bregal Investments and KKR .
