Quiznos
Quiznos is an American fast-food chain that specializes in sandwiches similar to Subway .
Quiznos is known for selling its sandwiches warm by toasting the sandwiches after adding all of the ingredients except the salad .
The first restaurant opened in Denver in 1981 . The company subsequently expanded into various international markets and, at its peak in 2007, had over 5,000 franchise-operated restaurants and points of sale.
In the wake of the economic recession, the company had to shrink and finally filed for bankruptcy in March 2014. After the insolvency proceedings were concluded and the company was taken over by new investors, Quiznos reportedly still has around 800 sales outlets, but will again pursue international expansion plans.
