Quod hoc ineunte is an encyclical from Pope Leo XII. , with which on May 24, 1824 , he declared 1825 a universal year of jubilee .

Pope Leo XII. noted that at the beginning of the century the jubilee year had been left out because of the "bad" times. Therefore, he proclaimed that, in accordance with tradition, he would hold a jubilee year. Leo XII. called the coming holy year a year of atonement and forgiveness and a year of renewal in Christ . As the encyclical went on, he set the timing for 1825 and explained the indulgence rules that would apply during the visit to Rome . Finally he called on all Catholics in Rome to support this year, he asked for hospitality for the pilgrims and exhorted and encouraged the clergy to work actively.
