Quareli or Kvareli ( Georgian ყვარელი ) is a city in the Georgian region of Kakheti .
Kvareli is 449 m above sea level in a fertile plain. The city has 7739 inhabitants (2014) and is the administrative center for the municipality of Kvareli . The most important sources of income in the region and the city are agricultural products, especially viticulture and fruit growing, but also cattle breeding and tourism. There are wine-growing businesses in the village that produce wine, brandy and pomace brandy ( Tschatscha ). One of the best-known establishments is Kindzmarauli, where tours of the production facilities and wine tastings are offered.
The Nekresi monastery is located on a ridge near the village .
