The Rába H14 is a four -wheel drive truck (4 × 4) produced by the Rába plant in Győr, Hungary .
Model description
The Rába H14 has been in service with the Hungarian armed forces since 2004 and is manufactured by Rába, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Hungary. Development of this truck began in the early 1990s.
The Rába H14 has a payload of 5.0 tons, but can carry up to 7.0 tons on good roads, depending on the variant. The vehicle is equipped with a MAN driver's cab, which is also used in the MAN gl . The H14 is available with various superstructures and complies with NATO standards. This military truck is also used as a tractor for trailers or artillery weapons.
The vehicle is powered by a MAN turbo-diesel engine of the type D0836 LFG01 E3 driven by 280 horsepower. The same engine is used on other Rába military vehicles. The vehicles are highly off-road. With a ground clearance of 400 millimeters, permanent all-wheel drive and four driven wheels with large individual tires, they are able to cross various obstacles. The vehicles of the Hungarian army are equipped with speed limiters set at 85 km / h. The vehicle is equipped with a central tire pressure regulation system.
