Rémon Leopold Biermann (born December 11, 1935 in Hamburg ) is a German jazz and entertainment musician ( trumpet , composition ) who also worked under the aliases Leopold Antwerp and Mac Monster .

At the age of 17, Biermann founded his first own band, the Blue Combo , with which he won the Blue Ribbon three times in Hamburg. He studied at the Heinrich Schenker Academy in Hamburg and played as a trumpeter in the Hamburg Chamber Orchestra of the NWDR , then with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. He worked as a songwriter ("She Is Gone", "Night Time"), arranger and music producer . As an instrumentalist, he appeared in the bands of Bert Kaempfert and James Last at home and abroad , but also led his own groups such as the Mac Monster Hammond Company or the Mexican Marimba Band . As a solo trumpeter he can be heard on over 20 albums with titles such as Trumpets for Lovers and Tijuana Party . From the early 1980s to 2000 Biermann was first trumpeter in the Hamburg Police Orchestra. Until 2015 he played regularly with the big band of the Hamburg Cotton Club .
