Reserve totale de Bontioli
The Réserve totale de Bontioli is an officially 29,500 hectare protected area in the southwest of Burkina Faso in the province of Bougouriba near the Ghanaian border.
location
The Réserve is about 40 kilometers south of Dano , the capital of the province of Ioba .
climate
The rainy season lasts from mid-May to October.
Flora and vegetation
About half of the protected area near the waters is covered by gallery forests, plus dry forest, tree and shrub savannas.
Despite the official protection status, large areas are anthropogenically modified. Agricultural areas predominate over a length of approx. 5 km into the protected area.
