The Réserve totale du Singou is located in southeast Burkina Faso in the province of Gourma . The Réserve totale du Singou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the WAP National Park complex since 2017 . The protected area owes its name to the Singou , a tributary of the Pendjari . In the south, there are two more protected areas, south-west beyond the Singou the Réserve partial de Pama and south-east the Réserve partial de l'Arli . There is a hunting zone in the north.

There are no major roads leading to the protected area and the location between other protected areas in the already relatively sparsely populated southeast of Burkina Faso is a prerequisite for the slightly disturbed, near-natural Sudanese savannah landscapes of the protected area.
