Róza Berger-Fiedler

Róza Berger-Fiedler (born December 17, 1940 in Béziers , France) is a Jew, documentarist , director and producer living in Germany .

Life

In the 1987/1988 film Remembering Is Life , Berger-Fiedler reconstructs the history and present of Jewish life very personally. When this film premiered in East Berlin , she asked Heinz Galinski whether she could also make a film about the Jewish Community of Berlin (-West). By then she had already completed eight other films about Jewish life. In 1991 she founded BABEL Film und Video GmbH with Harry Hornig, based in Berlin. She is the managing director of BABEL Film und Video GmbH & Agency and maintains a news program about Jewish life in Berlin with her eponymous magazine, Babel TV , which appears once a week and started in 1996.
