The Röhmschule is a primary school in Kaiserslautern ( Rhineland-Palatinate ).
history
The Röhmschule building was built in 1885/86 as a three-storey, neoclassical hipped roof and sandstone structure and is a listed building . As early as 1887 - after being appointed to the higher boys' school - a fourth building had to be built, and a gymnasium was added in 1890/1891.
The name of the school comes from the first secular school inspector in the city of Kaiserslautern, Philipp Röhm. At the city council meeting on March 4, 1887, council member Geiler ( center ) applied for the newly built school at Moltkestrasse 27 to be named " Röhmschule " because of Röhm's services to the local school system . Geiler also pointed out that the opening of the new school will take place on the 50th anniversary of Philipp Röhm's service. The city council agreed unanimously.
Currently, about 250 pupils attend the Röhmschule, who are taught by 17 teachers, 2 pedagogical specialists and 1 pastor.
