Rösy von Känel

Rösy von Känel (born January 23, 1895 as Rösy Müller in Aarau ; † January 11, 1953 in Zurich ) was a Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

Rösy von Känel spent childhood and youth in her hometown Aarau. From 1926 to 1938 she lived with her husband, a dentist , in Sissach in the canton of Basel-Landschaft . After her husband died, she moved back to Aarau, where she worked as a journalist ; in addition, she published narrative works for children and adults. From 1943 she was based in Zurich. With her novels on women's issues , she has been considered one of the most successful Swiss authors of her time since “Hearts at War” was published in 1942.
