The Röthsee is a lake near Schönwalde in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
The approximately 1.8 hectare large body of water is located in the municipality of Schönwalde, with Schönwalde on the western bank. The lake has no natural outflows or tributaries. The maximum extent of the Röthsee is about 240 by 130 meters.
The Röthsee is a popular swimming and fishing lake. He belongs to the fishing club Schönwalde eV based in Dargitz. On the front bank there is a swimming area with a pavilion and covered seating. You can also grill there and there is a well-kept area for dancing and other events. A small playground and a volleyball field have been created for the young residents.
The main fish species in the Röthsee are perch , pike , eel , carp , bream and roach .
