Rüdiger Beer (anesthesiologist)

Rüdiger Beer (born June 3, 1925 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † February 18, 1975 ) was a German anesthesiologist.

Life

Beer began to study medicine at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin in 1943 . In the summer semester of 1944 he moved to the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and in 1945 to the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In 1950 he passed the state examination in Kiel. In the same year he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. In 1958 he completed his habilitation at the Philipps University of Marburg . In 1959 he went to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . She appointed him associate professor (1964), associate professor (1967) and full professor (1970). Beer dealt with anesthetics in cardiac surgery , especially heart transplants . He was only 49 years old.
